Im Mr. Flip Side/Kiss, a seriously brilliant 25 year old MC, that was born
in Georgetown, Guyana under the name of J McLean - that name alone is
enough to build much anticipation. The epic of My story began as i started
to liberate my lyrical talents onto paper at the tender age of 9. But
please, don't label me as a rapper, because Im more like an artist.
I'm currently residing in Toronto, Ontario where i've been in the booth,
recording various tracks and collaborations, perfecting my craft, as well
as managing my record label Flip Side Recordz.
In 1995 I was asked to work with a group by the name of "The Ill Squad".
This led to collaborations with gamers such as "Nat NYC a.k.a Monday
Night", "Nine Planets Hip Hop" and may more.
I take inspiration from my everyday life, through the good and bad, giving
my people that real talk experience. With a perfectionist's spirit i'm
constantly sharpening my skills and improving my sound. I keep my fans
wanting more as i embrace an exceptionally versatile style and delivers hot
tracks that bring you a refreshing and uplifting feeling, while at the same
time giving you something everyone can relate to. My resourcefulness and
flexibility have even the least expected individual's vibing to my
skilfully selected beats and lyrics, in a definite display of my many
talents.
I'm most definitely one of the most creative, dedicated, inspirational,
business oriented men in the hip hop game today. Included on My long list
of accomplishments include being the President/CEO and manager of Flip Side
Recordz, as well as a very talented writer, executive producer and
manager.
I'm a unique and proficient way of combining a fine tuned version of flow
and delivery, and with my sharp and well timed punch- lines, just know that
my music is sure to get you addicted.
